Dana Chidiac while at Dial has acquired world rights to picture book I Am Not Afraid of Anything by BCHQ #BlackCreatorsInKidLit co-founder Bernard Mensah (l.), about the bravest girl in the world whose courage is tested at the Ghanaian festival of monsters, the Kakamatobi Festival, and a second untitled picture book. Raissa Figueroa will illustrate, and Michelle Lee is editing. Publication is slated for fall 2024; Natalie Lakosil at Irene Goodman Literary Agency represented the author while at Bradford Literary Agency, and Natacha Morris at Tobias Literary Agency represented the illustrator.

Meet Bernard Mensah, a talented author who was born in Ghana and now calls the UK home. Bernard has a Master's degree in Computer Science, but his true passion is writing books for children and young adults.
