Primates are a group of mammals that share several common features. For example, they breathe air, have a backbone, grow hair, and the females produce milk.

Patas Monkeys can hold a lot of food in their mouths. In fact, the amount of food they can hold in their mouths is the size of their stomachs!

Unlike other monkeys, females are the leaders of a barrel.

Barrels can be upwards of ten monkeys!

Patas monkeys are the world’s fastest primates! They can run as fast as 34 miles per hour or 55 kilometers per hour.

That’s three-fourths as fast as a greyhound dog!
